Magic, the Orders of Wizardry, arcane potential
Arcanthos is the youngest child of Solgarde and Lunara, and the only one of their children whose primary domain is arcane magic itself. He founded the Orders of Wizardry -- not as an institution he oversees from a distance, but as an active project he remains invested in. His mortal instruments are the Orders. His goal, stated plainly in their founding doctrine, is to see arcane magic achieve its full potential: a force that unites free peoples and removes needless suffering from the world.
He is optimistic in a way that most gods are not. He genuinely believes the Orders can become what he designed them to be, and he has been patient about the gap between that design and the current reality for long enough that his patience has become one of his defining characteristics. His clerics, rare outside the Orders themselves, function primarily as moral guides to wizards -- people who remind the technically capable what the power is supposed to be for.
His symbol is an open book with a flame at its center: knowledge that does not merely illuminate but transforms. The book is always open. Arcanthos has views about wizards who keep their knowledge closed.
