Lunara is the wife of Solgarde and the mother of Sylvara, Thundarak, Arcanthos, and Verindas, and she is something unusual among the major divine powers: a goddess whose primary concerns are not cosmic or martial but domestic in the oldest sense of the word. Families. Communities. The survival and flourishing of ordinary people in ordinary circumstances. She is not a distant celestial force. She is a presence in the rhythms of daily life in ways that flashier gods are not.

Her clergy are largely pacifist by inclination and by training. The most devoted refuse to kill a humanoid or natural animal except in genuine extremity, which is a demanding standard in a world that produces genuine extremity with some regularity. What they offer instead is something rarer in most traditions: the sustained, unglamorous work of protection and nurture. They are called especially to mothers and children, to communities under pressure, to the places where survival is not assured.

Her symbol is a crescent moon. She is associated with the tides of Aethon, Kyrell's larger moon, in the way that tides are associated with the moon -- as something that moves to her rhythm without requiring her to do anything so crude as direct it.
