Arcane order, responsible magic, the good use of power

Serevain is the lawful good member of the Triumvirate of Magic, and her function within the Orders of Wizardry is the one that makes her the least popular: she represents the principle that arcane power carries obligations. Her clerics are the closest thing the Orders have to an internal affairs division. They are present whether they are welcome or not, and their mandate -- ensuring that magic is wielded in an orderly, non-destructive fashion for the betterment of all -- is both genuine and genuinely irritating to wizards who would prefer not to be audited.

She was chosen by the gods alongside Sythren to help Arcanthos administer the Orders, which means her authority within that structure is foundational rather than delegated. This does not make her universally respected. It makes her unavoidable, which is a different thing.

Her symbol is three interlinked circles -- a figure that has no beginning and no end, which her followers interpret as a statement about the continuous nature of obligation. Her critics interpret it as a statement about how difficult she is to escape.
