The Kingdom of the Hart

A traditional monarchy in the northern Settled Lands, ruled by a lineage with documented divine patronage from Vorathem, god of crafting and honest labor. Their army is well-equipped and their fortifications are exceptional. They maintain tense but functional relations with the Orders and have never signed an Order-jurisdiction compact -- which means Order activity within their borders requires royal approval and meets royal suspicion.

The Hart is one of the few significant human nations that has successfully maintained independence from Order institutional influence. This is a point of pride internally and a point of friction externally.
